PROJECT:
Dr. Andrew Lynge (University of Alabama) is leading a consortium to commission composer Dr. Caleb Pickering to write a new piece for snare drum solo and percussion trio to be completed in August of 2024. A version with electronics, without the percussion trio, will also be included within this project. The cost to join this project is $45 for professionals and $35 for students, and will be open for all to join until May 1, 2024.

Chainsaw Dance - Program note
Chainsaw Dance is a featured solo work that may be accompanied by percussion trio, or as a solo work with audio playback. The work combines my love of percussion and horror movies into a pragmatic work where the soloist plays the musical role of the iconic Leatherface from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
