The Forney ISD percussion programs will be hosting the 15th annual North Texas Percussion Festival presented by the Percussive Arts Society on February 21 & 22, 2025. This year’s clinicians are Dr. Brian Zator (TAMUC), and Dr. Andrew Lynge (University of Alabama) and Lalo Davila (Middle Tennessee State University) will be the clinician for the middle school groups. Each group has the choice of performing one or two selections with judge’s critique after their performances.
The UA Percussion Ensemble won first place in the 2024 Percussive Arts Society International Percussion Ensemble Competition, earning an invitation to perform a 50-minute Showcase Concert at the 2024 PASIC. This marks the ensemble's second consecutive win in this prestigious competition, widely regarded as the highest achievement possible for a university percussion ensemble.
Epoch Percussion will be performing the percussion concerto, Re(new)al, with the Las Vegas Academy of the Arts Wind Ensemble at the Western International Band Clinic.
